His coffeemaker works overtime in an effort to fuel his pastoral call here in historic Bordentown and also as a music director, worship leader, organist, pianist, Keyboardist, and vocalist. Rawlings School of Divinity at Liberty University in Virginia working toward a Doctor of Ministry degree in the Worship Cognate '26.
Rob is a graduate of Belmont University’s School of Music in Nashville, Tennessee having earned a degree in Music Composition and Arranging '92. Piano and voice were central to his applied music studies. This was followed, in hindsight of extensive professional experiences, by a Master of Divinity in Chaplaincy '14 earned online and on campus at Liberty. Pastoral studies were strategically integrated within the program that he completed. The graduate seminary program is recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense in their academic preparation of candidates for the Chaplaincy Corps.
Pastor Rob has an extensive professional work history and experience across numerous mainline Protestant churches, churches within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trenton, and also as a civilian Director of Contemporary and Traditional Music Ministries and Worship Leader working directly with the United States Air Force Chaplain Corps at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst here in New Jersey. Rob works part-time as Director of Music at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ and has directed music and played the organ professionally for decades right here in the Garden State.
Rob is an ordained Worship Pastor and Emergency Services Chaplain within the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey. His ordination is nationally recognized within the ABC on the national level. He is also a longstanding member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains serving by way of appointment to Wrightstown Volunteer Fire Company No.1 where the Mansfield Township Ambulance Corps keeps shared apparatus. He has earned Fire-Police certification after completing necessary FEMA courses and special training at the Emergency Services Training Center in Mount Holly, NJ. Pastor Rob has been blessed with remarkable Baptist, General Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish friends as well as many exceptional acquaintances. His call to ministry has been answered to with a deep-hearted response to the formational work of God’s Spirit in his life.
He is looking forward to coming alongside the exceptional ministries that are in strategic motion at First Baptist Church of Bordentown.
